Saint Seiya’s Visual Icon! A Photo Review of Underworld Pisces Aphrodite

As both my wife and daughter are Pisces, I’ve developed a special fondness for Pisces Aphrodite. Combined with his exceptional appearance, which is genuinely appealing, my anticipation for this new Saint Cloth Myth EX Underworld Pisces figure was particularly high!
As a Tamashii Web Shop exclusive, the package comes with an additional cardboard box. For 870 yuan, you get an extra box—quite nice indeed!
The front of the packaging features Bandai’s iconic full-body pose and a detailed portrait of the character.
The back showcases a group photo of Underworld Cancer, Underworld Pisces, and Underworld Aries Shion—the three Golden Saints who first appeared during the Hades Chapter.
The contents are neatly arranged, and the box is relatively slim, mainly because the individual parts don’t take up much space.
The body mold is reliable, with a reassuring level of tightness and flexibility.
As the visual standout among the twelve Gold Saints, Aphrodite’s face sculpt is exceptionally well-crafted. Isn’t he stunning?
Additionally, there are four interchangeable face plates: one holding a rose, one with closed eyes, one with a sly smirk and open eyes, and one with a shouting expression. After transforming into an Underworld Saint, Aphrodite’s lips take on a light purple hue, adding to his mysterious and alluring charm.
The set includes ten interchangeable hands, which is quite generous. Two of these hands are designed to hold the white and black roses, respectively.
Once fully assembled with the Underworld Cloth, the figure boasts an incredibly high visual appeal. The combination of black and purple is visually pleasing, and there’s little to criticize about its overall aesthetic.
The assembly process went smoothly, though it was surprising to note that this version of Underworld Pisces does not include knee armor—a slight disappointment.
In my opinion, the figure looks better without the helmet, so I typically display it without one.
Here’s how I’ve chosen to pose it: one hand holding a white rose, the other holding the helmet, with a sly smirk directed right at you—absolutely fantastic!
This pose works quite well too. Posing Myth Cloth figures is an art in itself, though I tend to stick with these simpler, classic stances.
Finally, the Underworld Cloth form of Pisces closely resembles its Gold Saint counterpart. It generally maintains the fish-like design, though the tail section has some hollow areas. After all, as a collectible, it can’t be expected to perfectly replicate the anime.
Overall, this Underworld Pisces figure has no major flaws. It’s visually striking, and I highly recommend it to fans of the Underworld Gold Saints or Pisces enthusiasts. Don’t wait until the price skyrockets to regret missing out!
Why Pisces Stands Out in Saint Seiya
Pisces Aphrodite has always been one of the most intriguing characters in the Saint Seiya universe. Known for his beauty, elegance, and deadly roses, he embodies the duality of the Pisces sign—both gentle and fierce. His transition to an Underworld Saint adds layers to his persona, making him even more captivating.
Pisces individuals are often associated with creativity, intuition, and a deep connection to art and beauty. Aphrodite’s character aligns perfectly with these traits, making him a favorite among fans who appreciate the aesthetic and emotional depth of the zodiac signs.
Whether you’re a longtime collector or new to the Saint Cloth Myth series, this figure is a must-have. Its attention to detail, poseability, and sheer visual appeal make it a standout piece in any collection.
